Gautam is the co-founder & CEO of EnlightenAI, which is helping educators give their best feedback, faster through a personalized AI grading assistant. EnlightenAI is supported by NewSchools Venture Fund in its efforts to develop AI tools that learn from and adapt to educators.

Prior to founding EnlightenAI, Gautam was the founder and Executive Director of Invictus Academy of Richmond, which earned recognition as the top performing charter school in West Contra Costa. At Invictus, Gautam worked to bridge the gap between theory and practice, building systems and harnessing thoughtful innovation to improve school outcomes.

Gautam began his career with Teach For America, teaching US and AP US History in Richmond, California. He earned his MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in 2016, and graduated with honors from Stanford University in 2010.
